If you’ve ever been in my chair, you know two things:

1. There’s a solid chance I forgot to take pictures/videos of your hair.
2. If I DID take them, there’s a solid chance I’ll post them somewhere between 3 months and 3 years later. 🫣

Content is a LOT of work, okay?! 😂

But TODAY? Neena deserves a same-day post. 💜🩷

Neena came to my salon for the very first time today after growing her hair out for over a YEAR for this appointment. The goal: an all-over platinum blonde with some purple hues. ✨

And I’ve been that client before. Finding someone new, going to a salon you’ve never been to, and trusting a complete stranger with a huge hair change can be intimidating.

But she came in ready and excited!

So we got to work.

Just shy of an hour spent foiling every. single. piece. of. hair. Then back through to apply closer to the scalp, let everything process, and finally…it was time to rinse.

Except—

I TURNED ON MY SHAMPOO BOWL AND THERE WAS NO WATER. 😰

Okay. No problem. We’ll go next door.

No water.

Downstairs to another business?

No water.

Turns out it wasn’t my suite.
It wasn’t our building.

THE WHOLE TOWNSHIP HAD THEIR WATER SHUT OFF FOR AN EMERGENCY.

At the EXACT moment I had a head full of lightener that very much needed to come out. 🫠

So HUGE shoutout to my friend Sarah at @havencurlco , who literally heated bottled water in an electric kettle and poured it into little pitchers so I could rinse every bit of lightener out of Neena’s hair. 😭

And just as we got it all rinsed…

the water came back on. 😂

But the biggest shoutout goes to Neena, who trusted me—a literal stranger she met TODAY—to figure it out, protect the hair she’d spent over a year growing, and make sure she left with not only all of her hair…

but BEAUTIFUL hair. 💜🩷

Because somehow, despite everything, WE DID THE DAMN THING. 😭✨

Neena, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for trusting me today. Your first appointment with me is certainly one neither of us will ever forget. 😂💜

First things first: full credit to @thelashspaau for this audio and their hilariously amazing video. 🤍

I came across their reel and immediately fell in love with the creativity behind it. It was such a fun way to showcase their salon that I couldn’t help but wonder what a Beauty by Ashley version would look like. 😂

While the details may look a little different, the heart behind it is the same: creating an experience that feels welcoming, comfortable, and uniquely our own.

It may not be expensive champagne in a crystal flute, but I’m always happy to share a Coke and a snack while you’re here. And at the end of the day, it’s never really about the drink—it’s about the atmosphere, the connection, the laughs, and the little things that make a space feel special.

I hope this reel gave you a glimpse into mine. ✨

(But also, please never bring up in person that you saw this lol.) 😂

If you’ve ever been nervous about trying a new salon, this one’s for you. 🤍

As a client myself, I always like knowing what a space looks like before I walk through the door. Where do I park? Where do I go? What’s the vibe going to be like?

So I thought it was time for an updated salon tour!

A lot has changed since I last shared one—I’ve given my suite a little refresh, our lobby has been updated, and some of the neighboring suites have changed too.

My goal has always been to create a space that feels welcoming, comfortable, and a little like catching up with a friend. Whether you’re here for extensions, dimensional color, or just a fresh cut, I want you to feel at home from the moment you arrive.

Take a peek around, and if you’ve been thinking about booking your first appointment, this is what you can expect when you walk through the door. ✨

Have any questions before your visit? Feel free to check out the link in my bio or text me at 989-452-6964 🩷

I’ll post one of the reels I made with my sister tomorrow, but for now: enjoy this blondie from 2025 🥰❣️

My sister came to the salon today for a “content

My sister came to the salon today for a “content day” with me. & If you’ve been around for a while, you KNOW content creation is one of the parts of this job that I struggle to find motivation for. 😂

So she volunteered to spend the day helping me come up with ideas, recreate trends (both good and bad lol), film videos, and most importantly… laugh with me.

I ended up with tons of content that I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks, but honestly that’s not my favorite thing I got out of today.

My favorite part was the quality time. (Girlhood! 🥹🫶)

As adults, it feels like life is always moving. There are appointments, responsibilities, work, bills, and a hundred other things competing for our attention. It’s rare to get a day where you can just be silly, laugh until your stomach hurts, and enjoy someone’s company with nowhere else to be.

So while the rest of the content will make its way onto my page eventually, this little blooper reel is for me. A reminder of a really good day, a lot of laughs, and the kind of unfiltered joy that I hope I never stop making time for.

(PS: Please respect our privacy during this time as we continue to identify as athletes.) 🏃‍♀️😂

Welcome to my crib. ✨

Well… my salon suite. Close enough.

I’ve spent the last few years turning this little space into something that feels less like a salon and more like a place to relax, catch up, and leave feeling a little more like yourself.

From the pink accents to the cozy touches, every detail was chosen with my clients in mind. I wanted a space that feels welcoming, comfortable, and never intimidating.

So for everyone who’s curious where the magic happens—or anyone thinking about booking their first appointment—here’s your official MTV Cribs tour. 🤍

The only thing missing is me dramatically showing you my refrigerator. (But, we can make that happen too if you truly wanted lol).

A few years ago, I was hoping, planning, and wondering if I could actually make this work.

Now I get to spend my days doing what I love, serving clients I genuinely adore, and growing a business that started as an idea.

Not every day is glamorous. Some days are spreadsheets, laundry, cleaning color bowls (and a bowl of color off the wall 😭), and wondering why I chose self-employment. 😂

But most days, I still walk into this little space feeling grateful.

Thank you for helping me turn a dream into a reality. 🤍

This was the last video I took of Beauty by Ashley before its little update this weekend. I can’t wait to share my updated space with you, but for now, I’m feeling a little nostalgic about this cozy piece of home. 🩷
